Aunjanue An. Ellis Taylor is an American actor and producer. She graduated with a BA at Brown University in African-American Studies. The Tisch school of the arts, New York University she received an MFA. Aunjanue was born in the United States and is an American actress as well as a producer and director. She works in television and film. Her acting career began in the theatre. She then appeared in various television series as well as independent and mainstream films. She became famous as Miranda Shaw, a character on ABC's Quantico. In BET's massive show The Book of Negroes she was a character. She did not only get praise from critics for her performance, but she did she also win a couple of awards and nominations. Her career began as an actress in 1995, when she appeared as Ariel as Ariel in The Tempest. On Broadway, she has appeared on stage in Come and Gone A Winter's Tale Seeking the Genesis and Joe Turner's Come and Gone. Her most well-known work is her role in the series Men of Honor, The Caveman's Valentine The Express & The Help. The role she played as a regular in ABC's drama police series High Incident earned her praises.
