Awkwafina

Awkwafina started out as a American performer and rapper, releasing sly tracks that tackled topics like racial or sexuality with a humorous twist. In the years before she stepped to Hollywood the singer had the opportunity to perform a variety of tracks. Nora Lum is the daughter of Chinese and Korean parents who hail from Forest Hills Queens. The trumpet was her first instrument. Jazz, classical and hip-hop education began when she was a teenager. In the end, she focused on her education. she was awarded the degree of journalist in college and a women's studies major. After graduation, she begin to concentrate on music. Her 2012 track My Vag a response to Mickey Avalon's My Dick found viral success through the Internet before settling on her debut album Yellow Ranger in 2014. The album also featured viral hit tracks like body positive Queef and winking tour of her home NYC Bitche$. This latter song was directly connected to Awkwafina's NYC, a 2015 travel guide. Alongside having published a book as well, she also worked as a singer. Along with early series like Girl Code, Tawk and Bad Rap she also appeared in films such as Neighbors as well as Storks. In 2018 she landed her first major role in a number of high-profile films like Dude Ocean's 8, and Crazy Rich Asians. In June she released her first film In Fina We Trust.
