Drake teamed with Bad Bunny to create MIA (2018) and Madonna was a part of Medellin with Maluma (2019). A few performers of reggaeton lamented the trend towards popular music by 2020. However, a brand newly formed group called Rauw Alejandro wanted to maintain the evolution and development of reggaeton. He incorporated electronic dance styles and other genres into his songs.
